Mr. Oshins wrote the law and was able to get it passed in Nevada’s 2005 legislative
session. It became effective as of October 1, 2005. Prior to that date, Nevada had
a law similar to most other jurisdictions which allowed dynasty trusts to last for
only approximately 100 to 120 years.
